The INC Giving event held by Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Candon City, Ilocos Sur, in the Philippines, benefited residents of Brgy. Mabileg, Sigay, Ilocos Sur on September 19, 2026. About 150 residents benefited from the care packages and free services.

Held at the village covered court, the humanitarian activity was aimed at providing assistance for residents in Mabileg, a remote community in the heart of Ilocos Sur. The activity not only provided residents with personal hygiene kits but also free services, including haircut, manicure, pedicure, and blood pressure check.

“We conducted this activity to be of assistance to our fellowmen and thus fulfill God’s commandment to love and help them in their needs,” explained Brother Billy Ray Recato, district Christian Family Organizations overseer.

We’re overjoyed to participate in this INC Giving event,” expressed Loreto Sumawang Jr., district Buklod president. “Although this community is far and hard to reach, we are happy to have come here, extending our help and also introducing the Church to this community.”

Local residents expressed their appreciation for the care and support extended by the district leadership, Church officers, and members. On their behalf, Pedro Ubuan, village chief, said, “We welcome the Iglesia Ni Cristo here in our village. We’re thankful for the items and services that they have given us.” — With assistance from Ed Leonard Ibasco
