The Ecclesiastical District of Iloilo South, in the Philippines, conducted a blood donation activity on June 28, 2025 at Catmar Place Building in Janiuay, Iloilo.

“The noble purpose of the activities launched by the Church Administration, such as this, is the biblical teaching to help others in need. Whenever we participate in these activities, we are able to please our Lord God,” said Janiuay Congregation resident minister Brother Junrey Casquite.

District Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers and medical practitioners from the Philippine Red Cross Iloilo Chapter facilitated the blood donation drive, with the patients of Western Visayas Medical Center as the intended beneficiaries.

Led by Church officers from various local congregations of the district, more than 70 brethren participated in the blood donation activity. After going through medical screening, the qualified blood donors were able to donate a total of 49 blood bags.

“Donating blood is helpful in our body, for it has good benefits for our cardiovascular system, such as: it lowers the risk of having a stroke, improves blood circulation, helps maintain a good complexion, and improves our mental health,” explained Philippine Red Cross Iloilo Chapter medical officer Dr. Donna Joy De Juan.

On behalf of the brethren in the district, Brother Casquite added, “The Lord God and the Church Administration can expect that we will always participate in the activities of the Church to fulfill His will and thus please Him.” — With reports from Ariane Claire Vitales of INC News Section
