A total of 343 new officers with the Light of Salvation (LOS) Committee of the local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Leyte, in the Philippines, took their oath of duty following their training-seminar on their respective task.

Their induction was part of the district-wide special gathering of LOS officers held on April 20, 2025.

The assistant district supervising minister, Brother Fernando Galapon, officiated at the holy gathering, which was held in seven venues via videoconferencing. The house of worship of the Local Congregation of Ormoc City served as the host site, to which the remote sites, namely, the houses of worship of Baybay, Isabel, Naval, Tabango, Kananga, and Calubian, were each connected.

In his Bible-based homily, Brother Galapon encouraged the attendees to carry on and never waver in their services to God in order to please Him. He inspired them to uphold and fulfill to the best of their abilities the duties entrusted to them by God, keeping in mind how important these are for the welfare of the Church as well as for their salvation.

“I’ve been reminded that being entrusted with an office in the Church Of Christ is a great blessing as it comes from our Almighty God,” enthused Keziah Terrado from Kananga Congregation who was among those who took oath of office.

“With the officers having been all the more inspired to fulfill wholeheartedly their sworn duties, we are very thankful to the Lord God for the continuous victories He bestows upon our district. We also thank our beloved Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo for guiding us in our services to God,” said district Church officers overseer Brother Erman de Leon on behalf of the district’s LOS officers. — With reports from Melvin Cagat of INC News Section
