A total of 350 congregation secretaries in the Ecclesiastical District of Paniqui, Tarlac took oath of office during their special gathering on April 12, 2026, which was officiated at by Brother Rene J. Panoncillo, the Church’s General Secretary.
Brother Panoncillo led the gathering from the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Camiling, with brethren also witnessing from the house of worship of Paniqui Local Congregation via livestreaming. More than 2,000 brethren assembled for the occasion.
During the gathering, Brother Ronaldo B. Losloso, district supervising minister, led the prayer before the sermon. In his preaching, Brother Panoncillo emphasized the Bible-based lesson about the importance of serving the Lord God zealously, which is proven by upholding faithfully the duty that He entrusted them. Doing so, Brother Panoncillo further said, they are rest assured of His promised help and blessings, especially salvation on Judgment Day.
After the study of God’s words was the oath-taking of the newly appointed congregation secretaries, which was led by Brother Judee Lee Quiray, district Church officers overseer. Brother Vicente Benedicto Jr., assistant district supervising minister, led the prayer after.
Julieta Fernando, head secretary of Taguiporo Local Congregation has been serving as a secretary for five decades. “My inspiration came from my parents who passed away as deacon and deaconess with a zealous faith. They taught me the importance of Church duties.” On her part, she added, “No matter the hardships, I will fulfill my responsibilities, be it that I have to make sacrifices. I will remain faithful to God no matter what.”
“What struck me most was the teaching on being faithful in fulfilling my duty inside the Church Of Christ,” said newly sworn in Aira Kaye Bautista of Plastado Local Congregation. “My responsibility is not just tasks, it’s the expression of my faith and genuine love for God. To be faithful means being diligent and to be an example of steadfastness, even in times of trials and hardships.”
