More than 200 newly-appointed officers in the Ecclesiastical District of Batac City, Ilocos Norte, in the Philippines, took their oath of duty during a special gathering that was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Batac on April 12, 2026.

District supervising minister, Brother Allan J. Ladera, officiated at the occasion. In his Bible-based homily, he emphasized to the current and would-be Church officers that God seeks complete obedience from them and dedication as they perform their duties.

“We’re increasing the number of Church officers in our district to be strong helpers to our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, in caring for the Church,” attested Brother Ladera. “Our mission is to look after the brethren, guiding them toward perfection and salvation.”

“I thank the Lord with all my heart, for I see this Church duty as a blessing,” expressed Crystelle Mei Fagaragan, newly-sworn deaconess from the Batac Local Congregation. “I vow to give my very best in fulfilling the responsibility I have accepted.”

Together with the new officers, who took oath as deaconesses, Children’s Worship Service officers, choir members, secretariat officers, among others, about 200 current Church officers were present in the gathering

“I prioritize the fulfillment of my duties to serve God Who expects this from me,” remarked Precious Lira Millado, choir member from Paoay Congregation. “I’ll strive to overcome hindrances to remain steadfast in performing my duty.”

Speaking on behalf of the Church officers in the district, Brother Ladera added that “we will faithfully love and care for the brethren entrusted to us, so that we may all receive the true life—the eternal life in the Holy City.” — With assistance from Vily Ramos
