Commemorating their district’s eighth founding anniversary, Church members from the Ecclesiastical District of Hong Kong held a district wide Aid to Humanity on December 26, 2020.
Led by the district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, Brother Jonathan Jove, the brethren prepared goodwill bags. They gave these to the neighborhood, either around the vicinity of their local congregation or close to where they live and to those whom they invited to listen to God’s words through the online evangelical mission. More than 600 people benefited.
The goodwill bags contained canned foods and other household items. The recipients said that they found these very useful especially during this time that they have to stay at home most of the time due to the pandemic. They expressed not only their thanks but also their willingness to know more of God’s words taught inside the true Church Of Christ. Others even enlisted as doctrinal instructees.
This socio-civic activity was part of their three-day celebration wherein a district evangelical mission was conducted on the first day, and musical presentation on the second. According to the brethren, it has always been fulfilling to be able to give aid in any way they can.
As they welcome the new year, the brethren said that they will continue to actively participate in all the activities launched inside the Church Of Christ, giving glory to the Almighty God. — With reports from INC News Section
