As a manifestation of the increasing membership in the Hamilton Congregation, Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand North, its members residing in the western part of Hamilton City were organized into a separate congregation. This was also to more efficiently oversee the brethren’s religious services.
Aptly named Hamilton West Congregation, its members held the inaugural worship service on August 14, 2026.
The occasion was doubly special as it coincided with the Church-wide videostreaming of the worship service that the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, officiated at the house of worship of the Tandang Sora, Caloocan Congregation, CAMANAVA Ecclesiastical District, in the Philippines.
Together with the new congregation’s members were ministers led by district supervising minister, Brother Dennis Dahunan, and assistant supervising minister, Brother Jonas Medrano.
After the worship service, Brother Dahunan administered the oath-taking of the congregation’s officers, especially those included in its leadership.
“The inauguration of Hamilton West is a blessing that gives us greater opportunity to serve the brethren and help them remain active in their services to God,” said Brother Khevin Villanueva, resident minister. “We, the Church officers, will continue to work together in fulfilling our duties and supporting the activities launched by the Church Administration.”
Rhenz Levi Saddoy, head deacon, expressed gratitude for this recent development: “I am thankful to God for blessing us with this new congregation. On my part, I will do my best to care for my brethren.”
KADIWA president, Miguel Ordonio, added, “The establishment of Hamilton West inspires me to become more active in my services and the Church activities. I’m grateful for this opportunity to serve God together with my fellow brethren.”
