Spearheaded by Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers in the Ecclesiastical District of British Columbia, a golf activity was held on July 14, 2025 at Gold Eagle Club in Richmond, British Columbia.

Joehl Cabading, district Buklod president and golf enthusiast from the Local Congregation of Maple Ridge, led the activity. He shared, “Golf is a sport that’s worth the brethren’s interest. We are so glad that we were among the first ones to conduct a golf activity for CFO members.”

Before the actual games, participants received instructions for the friendly competition. British Columbia District supervising minister Brother Glendo Baitan graced the activity with his presence and participation.

“I felt really happy and appreciative as I participate in this activity especially knowing that the Church Administration supports our interest in various sports like golf,” expressed golfer Paul Alegado from Langley Congregation. “I met several brethren who also play golf, we became friends, which highlights why we have activities like this—to further strengthen the brotherhood in the Church,” he added.

After testing their mettle, victors of respective categories were recognized. They were as follows:

Buklod: Ernie Bobadilla (Guildford Congregation)

KADIWA: Reggie Cubangbang (New Westminster Congregation)

Binhi: Julian Gatus (New Westminster Congregation)

Having their bond strengthened, brethren have been all the more inspired “that no matter what happens, we will serve God,” Cabading said on their behalf, adding, “From the bottom of our hearts, we thank the Church Administration for supporting activities in our district.” — With reports from Bryan Charles Belarmino
