Fuji Group Worship Service (GWS) in the Ecclesiastical District of Tokyo, Japan held its inaugural worship service at the Fujikawa Community Center in Shizuoka Prefecture on July 5, 2025. It is supervised by the Local Congregation of Yokohama.

District supervising minister Brother Amante Rodriguez led the occasion. He preached a Bible-based lesson about the importance of membership in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), that is, for people to fulfill their reason for being.

During the worship service, the GWS’s pioneering set of Church officers took oath of office that was administered by district edification overseer Brother Lloyd Anobling.

“I’m overjoyed because we, in Fuji, finally have a place of worship in our place,” expressed newly-sworn finance officer Arceli Kiuchi. “I sincerely thank the Almighty Father for granting our prayers.”

“Our long-time dream has finally come true—to have our request approved by the Church Administration,” remarked finance officer Joseph Sabido and whose part of property was approved to be the place of worship.

“We sincerely thank our beloved Executive Minister Brother Eduardo V. Manalo and our Deputy Executive Minister Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo for the blessed and victorious leadership over the entire Church,” Brother Rodriguez said. “Our district is included in the Church’s successes because more places of worship, such as that of the Fuji GWS, are being established here. We promise to continue sharing our faith with our fellowmen here in this place.”

Taking the opportunity to propagate the gospel, the brethren also invited guests in the gathering. Guest Precila Kinbara said, “I’m truly glad I was able to come here because my heart feels happy every time I attend worship service. Whenever they invite me, it always brings me comfort and peace.” — With reports from Wyrlo Ulayao
