The Ecclesiastical District of Quezon South, in the Philippines, reached its 37th anniversary on August 4, 2026. This they commemorated three days prior, via a photo exhibit and Family Fun Day jointly held at the Bulwagan Silungan in Gen. Luna, Quezon.
The activities commenced with a prayer led by Brother Rommel Tolete, district secretary. It was followed by Brother Jumel Deinla, district chronicler, delivering the opening remarks.
Then, Brother Manuel N. Santos, district supervising minister, and wife, Imelda Santos, led the ribbon-cutting of the photo exhibit. Together with Brother Arnel Nacua, assistant district supervising minister, also accompanied by his wife, they led the brethren in viewing vintage photos of houses of worship and activities that were held during the district’s pioneering years.
Afterwards, the brethren proceeded to the Family Fun Day. During that activity, fellow brethren treated them to solo and choral performances featuring Iglesia Ni Cristo original music such as Laan (Intended For Me), Sa Tahanan Mo Mamalagi (In Your House I Will Remain), Lahat Posible Sa Ama (All Are Possible With God), Ang Panahon Ng Katuparan Ng Ating Katubusan Ay Malapit Na (The Time Of The Fulfillment Of Our Redemption Is Near), and In Our Lord God You Must Place Your Complete Trust, among others.
After the performances, Brother Nacua delivered his closing remarks. Brother Mcarnold Omega, district Christian Family Organizations overseer, led the closing prayer.
“This is an unforgettable experience. Through the photo exhibit, I saw the growth of the Church here in our district,” said Steven Mark Vergaño, choir member and Technical Support for Videostreaming officer from Buenavista Congregation. “Despite the far distance of the venue from our congregation, I strove to attend. It’s worth it. I really enjoyed all the musical performances.”
“I’m very thankful to our Lord God that our district has reached its 37th anniversary. This is a proof of His continuous love, blessing, and protection to His Church,” said Richard Catarroja, choir leader of Catanauan Congregation. “The photo exhibit and Family Fun Day are truly enjoyable and meaningful events.”— With reports from Aldon Jade Enayo
