Inspired by the biblical truth they heard and firmly believed in during Bible studies, prospective members from the Ecclesiastical District of Tokyo, Japan received baptism at the place of worship of the Local Congregation of Ichikawa on June 26, 2026.

Brother Amante P. Roriguez, district supervising minister, officiated at the baptismal gathering. He preached a Bible-based lesson about the obligation of the chosen ones to God after their baptism. They should uphold intensive obedience to God’s commandments.

“The candidates for baptism are taught the divine teachings of God recorded in the Bible, which are faithfully upheld by the Iglesia Ni Cristo,” explained Brother Rodriguez. “Among these is the love of brotherhood—that all members stand as equals and must be bound by love, for God Himself is love.”

“My former co-workers invited me to a worship service at the Church, where I found the gatherings to be beautiful and orderly,” narrated Joel Nale, newly-baptized member from the Hamamatsu Congregation. “Now that I’m baptized, I feel a deep sense of peace. I’m thankful to have joined the Church and to have found God’s promised salvation here.”

In addition to having the true faith, new members also remember the kindness of the brethren in obedience to the love of brotherhood.

“Being new in this country, I first went to the Yokohama Local Congregation. The brethren there took great care of me, even looking for the closest local congregation to make sure I could easily attend worship services back then,” shared Lyka Jamille Moreno, newly-baptized member from the Local Congregation of Kawasaki. “It feels incredible to look back on that now that the day of my baptism has finally arrived.” — With assistance from Ed Ryan Santiago and Seiko Sasaki
