In commemoration of the 108th anniversary of the Children’s Worship Service (CWS), various ecclesiastical districts in the Philippines held special gatherings to offer thanks and praises to God for His abiding blessings.

On May 24, 2026, CWS teachers and officers in the Quezon City Ecclesiastical District gathered at the house of worship of Capitol Congregation, while those in the Ecclesiastical District of San Carlos City, Pangasinan convened at the house of worship of Malasiqui Congregation. Brother Virgilio A. Del Rosario Sr., and Brother Joseph S. Amarille, district supervising ministers of Quezon City, and San Carlos City, Pangasinan, respectively, presided.

On May 31, similar gatherings were held in the Ecclesiastical District of CAMANAVA. Officers attended in the houses of worship of Kaunlaran, and Valenzuela congregations. Brother Joel Palad, assistant district supervising minister officiated at the former, and Brother Jerry Ricamata, Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, at the latter.

On the same date, those from the Ecclesiastical District of Batac City, Ilocos Norte held theirs at the house of worship of Batac Congregation, while those from Ecclesiastical District of Cebu City, Cebu gathered at the house of worship of Mandaue City Congregation. Brother Allan J. Ladera, district supervising minister of the former, and Brother Jomar B. Dueñas of the latter, led the occasion.

Through the biblical lessons taught during the said gatherings, the attendees were reminded on the importance of their duties. They were also exhorted to strive in helping the Church Administration and parents in honing the faith of the children entrusted upon their care.

Rey Raya, CWS teacher from Sampaguita Congregation, CAMANAVA District, stated that “the special gathering strengthened the faith and inspired the CWS officers to zealously fulfill their God-given duties.” Meanwhile, Cesar Sosa Jr., CWS teacher from Novaliches Congregation, Quezon City District, expressed, “Through the biblical teachings that we received, I was moved to continue guiding the young members towards being obedient and faithful people of God.”

“It was indeed a blessing to be able to attend this gathering, for through God’s words that were taught to us, I was inspired to all the more fulfill my obligation to keep the children given under my care away from being influenced by the ideals of this world which are against God’s will,” expressed Claire Acierto, CWS teacher from Malasiqui Congregation, Ecclesiastical District of San Carlos City, Pangasinan. In another interview, Danzel Bacaycay, CWS teacher from the Local Congregation of Lapu-Lapu City Grand, Ecclesiastical District of Cebu City, Cebu, promised: “Despite the challenges which I may face as I perform my duty, I will always make sure that the children in the Church Of Christ are molded towards becoming God-fearing individuals who will also strive to give glory to the Almighty God.”

“It is vital for CWS teachers and officers to be constantly guided with God’s words as they perform their duties especially nowadays that the evil in this world becomes even more rampant which might affect the faith of the children in the Church,” explained Brother Mark Gil Angeles, Quezon City District CFO overseer. “As they fulfill their duties, CWS teachers and officers then fulfill the aim of the Church Administration to guide even the young members towards being children of God who will be fully prepared to attain the promised salvation.” — With reports from districts’ multimedia
