Hundreds of Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from nine local congregations and three extensions of the Ecclesiastical District of Bohol, Philippines, gathered early Saturday morning for a clean-up activity. It was held at a coastal area of Barangay West Poblacion, Albuquerque, Bohol on June 28, 2025.

Led by district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer Brother Joseph Batuhinay and resident ministers and ministerial workers, this activity was organized by district CFO officers and that of the Society of Communicators and Networkers (SCAN) International.

Using brooms, rakes, sacks, and trash bags, brethren from the Local Congregations of Albuquerque, Tagbilaran, Ubujan, Panglao, Cambuac, Dimiao, Tabalong, Baclayon, Dauis, and Biking Extension, Alegria Ext., Alemania Ext. as well, included cleaning nearby mangroves.

“This activity has shown how willing the brethren are to take part in the activities launched by the Church Administration. It’s heartwarming to see families working side by side—it really builds stronger ties among everyone,” attested resident minister Brother Jesther del Mundo of Albuquerque Congregation.

“We’re happy to be part of this activity,” enthused SCAN district president Giovanni Lluvido on behalf of fellow brethren. “It feels fulfilling to know that we’re doing our part in taking care of the environment,” he added. — With reports from Malou Acuzar of INC News Section
