Brethren from Veterans Village 1 and Veterans Village 2 Congregations in Central Ecclesiastical District joined hands for a blood donation activity on April 12, 2025. It was held at the parking area of the house of worship of the former, located in Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City.

The said socio-civic activity, which was led by the INC Social Services Office (SSO) and Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) in collaboration with the Philippine Orthopedic Center, yielded 39 blood units.

“By helping replenish the units stored in various blood banks through this activity, we are able to extend our compassion to our fellowmen especially those who are in great need of blood for urgent medical situations,” stated Brother Omesatto Limonero, resident minister of Veterans Village 1 Congregation.

Registered nurse and Luzon Avenue Congregation CMDPS officer Raul Booc explained that “the donors also benefit every time they donate blood for that serves as an opportunity for their bodies to produce new healthy blood cells which enhance their well-being.”

Eusebio Neil Tumbaga Jr., a head deacon from Veterans Village 1, shared that he was “happy for being able to extend aid to more people who are in need of blood.” Meanwhile, deacon Nelson Macapallag from the same congregation added that he “did not hesitate to donate blood knowing that this is a noble act which adheres to biblical teachings.”

“This activity is in concordance with the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ on loving our fellowmen. As a manifestation of our care and concern for them, the brethren united in fulfilling this command which we understand as an act which pleases the Almighty God,” said Veterans Village 2 resident minister Brother Rodolfo De Leon Jr.

The event was held just three weeks after the same district hosted a similar activity at the New Era 7-Storey Condominium, Barangay New Era, Quezon City on March 22, 2025. — With reports from Joy Mondejar
