ZARAGOZA, Nueva Ecija — People with disabilities were given “care and love” in a special event called “INC Giving” in Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija.
In the event organized by the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) on March 28, 2025 in Barangay Macarse, Zaragoza, INC volunteers distributed care packages containing food and other items that could be used by the residents there with special needs. There was also a special program with fun and games that catered to the beneficiaries, bringing joy and happiness to them.
The attendees expressed their gratitude to INC Executive Minister Brother Eduardo V. Manalo for remembering them through the INC Giving activity.
“To Ka Eduardo Manalo, thank you very much for this blessing you have given [us],” said Ernesto Dupra Torres Jr., explaining that the care packages he received that day would also help his family.
Torres, a non-INC member, was touched by the care and love he received during the event. He recalled how an accident that happened more than 25 years ago had crushed his right foot and had to be removed.
“On October 1, 1999, I was hit by a 10-wheeler truck carrying cement, and my right foot was crushed. Because of the infection, it had to be removed,” he said.
He expressed his gratitude for the INC Giving event and described it as a blessing not just for him but also for his family.
The Iglesia Ni Cristo is a Christian religion and community partner that helps. It has active members and congregations in more than 160 countries and territories.
