Families of Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Candon City, Ilocos Sur, in the Philippines, gathered for a Christian Family Organizations (CFO) Fun Walk starting from the Santiago Sports Complex, Santiago, Ilocos Sur.
Led by Brother Kevin S. Casubha, district supervising minister, and the district leadership, the activity held on August 1, 2026 was aimed at strengthening not only their physical bodies but also their familial and brotherly bond.
Brethren first participated in a warm-up session prior to taking a scenic route toward Santiago Cove, which is about a 1.6 km-walk from the said venue.
Brando Varilla, a head deacon from the Sta. Cruz Congregation, said that he and his family “really enjoyed bonding with the kids as well as with our older brothers and sisters (in the faith).”
“I’m happy to unite with the Church Administration in every activity they launch, including today’s event,” expressed Rebecca Alibuyog, assistant choir leader from the Nagsingcaoan Congregation. “I will continue to actively participate in upcoming activities in the Church.”
“We cannot deny that people around the world today are facing various hardships, and us members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo are no exception,” explained Brother Billy Ray Recato, district CFO overseer. “That is why activities like this give our families the opportunity to gather, strengthening our bond to overcome life’s trials.” — With assistance from Ed Leonard Ibasco
