As the Church’s evangelistic works continue, more and more prospective members receive baptism. On January 11, 2025, the Ecclesiastical District of Batangas held its first baptism for the year during which many prospective members received baptism, becoming full-fledged members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).

Brother Felman Reyes, assistant district supervising minister, officiated at the baptismal gathering that was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Taal. He emphasized from the Bible that those who receive the true baptism must humble themselves before God to completely obey His will at all times. After the homily, the candidates for baptism took their oath of membership before their baptism.

“I have friends who are Church members and they were the ones who guided me in the process of joining the Church,” shared Chester Atienza, a newly baptized member from Sta. Clara Congregation. “It is through the Church that I learned Who the true God is—the Almighty Father in heaven. And that, as His [chosen] people, we ought to worship, serve, and please Him,” he added.

Also among those baptized was Jun Liday from the Local Congregation of Calaca. Having that desire that even his loved ones know the truth on how to be saved on Judgment Day, “I convinced my wife to listen to the doctrines in the Church. Currently, she is a doctrinal instructee and attends worship services with me. I am also regularly inviting my relatives to attend such gatherings,” he further said.

“It is through the help of God that we were able to conduct the first baptism in our district this year,” Brother Reyes said. On behalf of the district, he added, “We will continue encouraging the brethren to remain active in participating in all the Church’s works, such as the work of propagating God’s words, for doing so is God’s will and thus pleasing to Him.” — With reports from Sanrio Tumalip of INC News Section
