On August 16, 2024, the Ecclesiastical District of Italy North held the INC Unity Games at Centro Schuster, Via Padre Lodovico, Morell S. J. 2, Milan, Italy.

True to its name, the said activity promoted “unity among the brethren from all the local congregations. It’s for them to enjoy, while being strengthened in the faith to be ever dedicated in serving God inside the Church,” said Brother Randy Macalinao, the district supervising minister, who led the event.

The clusters of local congregations and group worship services formed respective teams in various assigned colors: Red (Milan 1) and White (Milan 2) of the Local Congregation of Milan; Black (Bologna, Rimini GWS, Parma, and Modena GWS); Pink, and Purple (Torino, Genova, and Cuneo Group Worship Service); Green (Milan South); Blue (Milan West); Gray (Brescia, and Monza, Venice, Bergamo GWS); and Yellow (Milan East, Como, and Varese GWS).

They competed in sports, which were basketball, volleyball, football, track and field, badminton, chess, and darts.

“I’m very happy that we’re gathered here in this district activity. Many brethren came to participate,” said basketball player Mike Perez of the Local Congregation of Milan.

“It’s truly a unique and beautiful feeling, especially as we had the opportunity to see all our friends from other congregations and play with them,” said volleyball player Casey Cabigan from the same congregation.

At the end of the day’s event, the winners received trophies and medals. — With reports from Samantha Aquino and Kate Luistro of INC News Section
