The Bookmobile of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) brought a day of fun-filled learning to the residents of Yakap Home for Children, a care center for children run by the Church through its Felix Y. Manalo Foundation, Inc., situated within Ciudad de Victoria complex in Bocaue, Bulacan, Philippines, on May 12, 2026.

Brother Jonathan Frando, a ministerial worker, and Isabel Ducat hosted the activity. The fun-filled learning included story-telling sessions. Brother Kursheen Berja led one in the premises of the care center and Brother Smith Sangalang in the bookmobile.

There also were drawing, coloring, and puzzle-solving activities facilitated by Brothers Ron Dwight Lardizabal and Jayvy Roy Rosendo of the INC Children’s Museum.

After all the events, Brother Lemuel C. Solano, overseeing minister, and Ofelia Galang, New Era University (NEU) librarian, led the turnover of books from NEU for Yakap Home for Children residents. Meals and souvenirs were also provided.

“This surely have been a memorable day for the children, not just because of the learnings from books, but because they have felt the collective love of the Church Of Christ members for them, that they are not truly alone in this life,” expressed Margarett Tempo, Yakap Home for Children social worker. She added, “We are grateful to the Church Administration for this program have benefitted many, including the children here in our care center. We promise to be of help in caring for them and teaching them Christian values, as well.”

A collaborative initiative of the Church’s Christian Family Organizations (CFO) Office, NEU Library Department, and the INC Children’s Museum, this library on wheels’ recent destination was the 34th since its launching two years ago. — With assistance from Alberto P. Ledesma Jr.
