With the approval of the Church Administration, the Ecclesiastical District of Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro, in the Philippines, recently established the Lower Banilad Extension of the Upper Banilad Local Congregation.

The new place of worship serves brethren residing in the lower portion of the area. Although the extension’s place of worship is just about 600 meters from that of the Upper Banilad, but the latter is situated uphill, which has been particularly difficult for elderly brethren.

District supervising minister, Brother Rodel DG. Mañebog, officiated at the extension’s inaugural worship service on October 21, 2026.

In his Bible-based sermon, he reminded the brethren to hold on firmly to their God-given election by devotedly serving and worshiping Him, for He has promised salvation to those who remain faithful to Him until the end.

“We thank the Lord God for the continued victories of His Church. The establishment of the Lower Banilad Extension is proof of His continuing guidance and blessings upon His people,” said Brother Leonardo Reyes, assistant district supervising minister. “This is a great help to the brethren in Lower Banilad because it will now be easier for them to attend worship services and take part in the works of service.”

“I’m very happy now that we have our own place of worship here in Lower Banilad,” said choir member, Margie Fabregas.

Arlene Fadriquela, a deaconess, likewise expressed gratitude: “We are deeply grateful to the Church Administration and, above all, to the Lord God.” She added on behalf of the congregation: “This inaugural worship service will serve as an inspiration for us to remain even more faithful in our service.” — With assistance from Nikko L.
