“We’re grateful to our Lord God for this new and beautiful house of worship for our local congregation,” said Brother Gabriel Barbacina, resident ministerial worker, on behalf of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members in the Local Congregation of Bentuco. “We will take good care of this house of worship,” he added.

The said new house of worship was dedicated to God through a special worship service officiated by Brother Ruel Reyes, supervising minister of the Ecclesiastical District of Sorsogon on August 23, 2024. He emphasized through a Bible-based lesson the importance of houses of worship to the lives of God’s servants.

The 110-seater house of worship is situated along Gubat-Casiguran Road in Sorsogon, Philippines, and is about 30 kilometers from the district office situated within the compound of the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Sorsogon City.

A state-of-the-art sound system, videoconferencing equipment, and CCTV cameras were installed in the house of worship. Also, offices for various departments, receiving room, and parsonage were added.

“It feels wonderful to have a new place of worship,” Angelita Estareja, congregation choir leader, expressed. “The house of worship is important to me as it is where I receive God’s words, and pray to Him, among my other duties to Him I will all the more fulfill.” — With reports from Arnel Ayo
