“It is very timely to hold activities like these,” said Brother Alfred Alexis Lorido, district CFO overseer. “We are so happy to see the activeness and unity of the brethren in our district during these activities, which aim to foster the love of brotherhood, have quality time with family, and edify their faith.”
To bring together the brethren and foster in them more zeal, the Ecclesiastical District of Bay Area California held the Buklod Family Fitness, KADIWA Field Day, Binhi Friendship Day, and Children’s Worship Service (CWS) Get Together, in one memorable occasion. It took place on October 4, 2026 at Lake Chabot Regional Park at 17600 Lake Chabot Rd., Castro Valley, California. The activity served as the monthly meetup activity of the said Christian Family Organizations (CFO).
After the opening remarks delivered by Brother Reuel Del Rosario, assistant district supervising minister, Brother Jose Macayan, district edification overseer, led the opening prayer. Afterwards, the brethren participated in the activities prepared by district CFO officers for each organization.
The Buklod members engaged in physical activities such as biking, running, and walking. The KADIWA brethren, meanwhile, enjoyed playing Head, Shoulders, Knees, Cone, Flag Football, and Kickball. The Binhi members competed in a Basketball Shooting Competition. The CWS brethren actively participated in Rock, Paper, Scissor Hula Hoop Challenge, Tug of War, and Soccer.
Aside from physical activities, the families also bonded through grilling meats and eating together on the picnic tables they have set up.
“It has been a very great experience meeting new people through these CFO activities. The environment during these activities truly fosters the love of brotherhood and unity,” said Angel Frank, CWS chairperson from Burlingame Congregation.
“I saw the excitement of the CWS members during the activities. These activities all the more strengthened the bond among children,” said Danielle Mallari, district CWS officer.
“I am very thankful to the Church Administration for these kinds of activities for the members of the Church, especially us youth, so as not to be swayed by the things of this world,” said Shawna Joyce Domingo, district KADIWA president.— With reports from James Santos
