The Ecclesiastical District of Australia West held evangelical missions on April 28 and 29, 2024, through the Local Congregations of Melbourne and also of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, respectively.

Brother Nolly Esperanza, assistant supervising minister of Australia West, officiated at Melbourne on the 28th. From the Bible, he pointed out how important it is for people to become members of the true Church Of Christ, that is, to attain salvation on Judgment Day.

On the importance of the said evangelical mission, Brother Esperanza said, “Amid the chaos and calamities in our present time, people must know the God-given solution to all these dilemmas: to become true Christians. That is why members of the Church here dedicated their time and effort to invite guests for tonight’s evangelical mission.”

Meanwhile, the evangelical mission conducted the next day was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. There, Brother Elmer Baribal, minister of the gospel and the district’s treasurer, preached a biblical lesson highlighting the importance of being counted among God’s true servants.

One of the guests there was Cathy Maira, a teacher, who said, “It’s really welcoming here. The preaching was biblical and clear. The minister did not speak on his own but read the answers from the Bible. That is, I think as a teacher, the best source of what is credible and true.” Maira later enlisted as a doctrinal instructee. —With reports from Emmylou Sanchez and Quiza Quiñola of INC News Section
