To celebrate the 57th anniversary of the Christian Brotherhood International (CBI), the Ecclesiastical District of Central, in the Philippines, hosted a special gathering of Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members who are either high school or college students in Quezon City (QC).

It was held on October 9, 2026, Friday, at 7 in the evening, at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Tandang Sora, QC.

Eager to receive the words of our Almighty God, the youth brethren did not mind the heavy traffic and fatigue after a day at school. As they had just finished attending their classes that day, many of them arrived at the house of worship still wearing their school uniforms.

Brother Diosdado F. Dades, district supervising minister, officiated the holy occasion. In his Bible-based homily, he taught the brethren the importance of not following the ungodly ways of the people of this world. He admonished them to not believe and imitate everything they see on social media.

The youth were also reminded to not engage in untimely romantic relationships as they should, among other necessary qualities, be of proper age before doing so. He emphasized that they should strive to finish their studies first. Above all, they must make God their top priority and never neglect their services to Him. Doing so, He will have mercy to bestow upon them that bright future they aspire for.

“When I found out that I’d been assigned to be the organist for this special gathering, my heart was instantly filled with joy and excitement,” enthused Zildjian Deemcey Villalobos, CBI district officer and organist from Tandang Sora Congregation. “This holy occasion brought great spiritual blessing and joy. Our Almighty God made my heart and mind feel at peace.”

“I had been really stressed lately and was being surrounded by temptation. I felt as if God spoke to me directly in the said gathering. We were reminded not to conform to today’s standards, to remain standing our ground in doing what is right,” shared another CBI officer, William Edward Norton.

“I am happy to have attended this special gathering because I was able to truly feel the Church Administration’s guidance and concern for the spiritual well-being of us, INC students, through the timely lesson taught to us this evening,” said Princess Aven Faelnar, CBI officer. “I will never neglect my services to Him, as He is the One Who continuously sustains and guides me in everything that I do.”
