The Ecclesiastical District of Cavite held a blood donation activity at the Mana Town Center, Kawit, Cavite on September 19, 2026. It was held in collaboration with the New Era General Hospital (NEGH) of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), as well as the Philippine Red Cross (PRC)-Cavite Chapter. 227 people volunteered; 182 of them qualified. 98 and 84 units went to NEGH and PRC, respectively.

“I was a bit nervous as it’s my first time to donate blood, but the desire to help my fellowmen completely overcame my fear,” shared Erica Andico, secretary in Tramo Congregation, among the first-time donors.

Remembering a time when her sibling relied on donated blood, Ana Marie Laraya, choir member from the San Nicolas Congregation, said, “I donated because I know what it feels like to need blood. So, whenever I have the chance, I donate to help extend the lives of others, whether they are my fellow INC members or not.” It was her fourth time donating.

“I feel immense joy today because I finally passed the screening. I’ve now been able to donate blood after trying for several years. Being able to help save lives today truly means a lot to me,” shared Luz Mababangloob, a Buklod district officer from the Noveleta Local Congregation.

Watching the volunteer donors lining up through the screening gates, Dr. Jeff Co of the Philippine Red Cross expressed joy and surprise with the participants’ eagerness to help. “A massive number of blood bags were donated today,” he remarked, also noting how the Society of Communicators and Networkers, International (SCAN) officers kept the crowd safe and orderly.

Brother Eli C. Hebrew, the district supervising minister, not only oversaw the event but also joined the donors, first time and regular alike, in volunteering.
