“This development manifests how the Church Administration continues to look after the spiritual welfare of those in the Church, even those in the Deaf community,” Brother Lance Adlawan, ministerial worker and SL interpreter, said.

On September 10, 2026, the Local Congregation of Majada-In in the Ecclesiastical District of Calamba City, Laguna, Philippines held its first worship service with Sign Language interpretation (SLI). It is the fourth congregation in the district to have SL interpretation in worship services.

In the said worship service, Brother Adlawan interpreted the hymns. Meanwhile, Brother John Gener Tumanlao, district Christian Society for the Differently-abled (CSD) adviser, interpreted the Bible-based preaching.

“I am happy because this can help me take part in every program of the worship service,” expressed through SL by Lanica Nepomuceno, a Deaf member.

“Thanks be to God for through the Church Administration, the Deaf brethren here are continuously taken care of, especially with their spiritual needs,” enthused Brother Tumanlao. “On our part, as CSD officers, we will continue to value them by always involving them in activities and guiding them in their services to God.”

Worship service scheduled on Thursdays (7:30 p.m.) and Sundays (10:00 a.m.) will have SLI.
