Iglesia Ni Cristo members from the Ecclesiastical District of Candon City, Ilocos Sur, in the Philippines took part in a blood donation drive held on September 5, 2026 with the end in view of helping those in need, in compliance with the Lord’s will.

“This activity aims to fulfill God’s commandment—to extend a helping hand to our fellowmen and those in need,” district supervising minister, Brother Kevin S. Casubha, explained.

Brother Casubha, together with the district leadership and members of the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS), led the socio-civic event, which was held at the Santiago Sports Complex, in Santiago, Ilocos Sur.

Medical staff from the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Ilocos Sur Chapter and the Ilocos Sur Medical Center conducted the health screening and blood extraction of potential donors.

A total of 108 brethren volunteers qualified for donating blood. The collected blood units went to the supply of the said medical institutions.

CMDPS member, Lexter Urbano, from the Local Congregation of San Jose, attested, “This activity collects vital blood supplies to directly aid patients in critical need. Aside from helping others, it also offers remarkable benefits for the donors’ health and wellness.”

“I’m overjoyed for being able to unite with our district in this blood donation drive,” expressed Joselito Gautani, deacon from the Local Congregation of Calaoa-an. “I am happy for I know that I’ve donated blood to help save lives,” remarked Edgar Gacutan, also a deacon from the same congregation. — With assistance from Ed Leonard Ibasco
