Chronicler coaches serve as helpers of the Church Administration in overseeing local congregation chroniclers and honing their skills.

The holders of such office from the four ecclesiastical districts in Laguna themselves underwent a training workshop on September 5, 2026 at the School For Ministers-Calamba City, Laguna practicum center.

This was also attended by the chronicler of each of the districts, namely, Calamba City, Sta. Cruz, San Pablo City, and Sta. Rosa City.

The Church Administration sent ministers and ministerial workers from the Research and Information Section (RIS) to facilitate the activity. It commenced with a prayer led by Brother Marc Jem Macatangay, Sta. Rosa, Laguna District chronicler.

The training-workshop aimed to equip the chronicler coaches with further knowledge in properly forming and maintaining the history book of their respective districts and local congregations. Topics such as reference citation, chronicling entries, and photo captioning were discussed.

As reinforcement, the coaches were required to present their respective outputs after each topic discussion.

“I learned new technical skills in chronicling so as to record historical and significant events in our congregation,” shared Divina Grace Escaris of the Banlic Congregation in Calamba City, Laguna District. In a separate interview, Jollibee Pesigan from the Cavinti Congregation in Sta. Cruz, Laguna District learned that chroniclers like her must be “diligent and accurate in recording significant events in the Church.”

Before the activity’s conclusion, Brother Jeffy Igarta, a minister of the gospel from the RIS, delivered a Bible-based lecture highlighting the value of chronicling Church events and activities, drawing inspiration from biblical examples. His fellow minister, Brother Allen Rae Felipe, led the closing prayer.

“We thank the Church Administration for giving us this opportune day to learn altogether for the betterment of the performance of our duty,” expressed Brother Jayson Balisi, Calamba City, Laguna District chronicler. “We promise to use the skills we are gifted with, which are continuously being honed through trainings like this, for the Church’s welfare and God’s glory.”
