“In this event the INC Chroniclers in the district showed their photography and writing skills, both of which are essential skills for preserving the Church’s rich history,” said district chronicler, Brother Christian Esperanza.

With the theme “No Matter What Happens, Let Us Serve God So We Will Attain Salvation,” the photo essay competition that was hosted by the Ecclesiastical District of Ilocos Sur, in the Philippines, recently concluded, on July 11, 2026. Entries of the finalists were featured in an exhibit within the compound of the house of worship compound of the Vigan City Congregation.

Before the awarding proper, Brother Miamino P. Miclat, district supervising minister, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the exhibit. It was organized as part of the INC Research and Information Section’s project dubbed “Chronicling the INC in 2025” featuring Church various activities.

Entries fell under four main categories of the Church’s endeavors: propagation, edification, socio-civic activities, and Christian Family Organizations (CFO). The winners were evaluated according to expression of theme, storytelling, visual appeal, and overall impact.

Having won both the socio-civic and CFO activities categories, Edzer Roger Antolin from San Sebastian Congregation was declared as the overall victor of the event. “I was so glad that I was able to contribute in this activity. It is my desire to not only be active but also showcase the activeness of our brethren in serving God no matter what,” he said.

For propagation, Hazel Guiquing from Naguiddayan, won first place. From Dardarat, Arlene Solis’ entry took the win for the edification category. — With assistance from Edlyn Antolin
