“Truly inspiring. The photographs reflected activities the brethren participated with which were instrumental in strengthening our faith,” shared Lorence Pajalla, Binhi president from the Local Congregation of Palanog. He added, “We are grateful for it has encouraged us to remain united with all the endeavors launched by the Church Administration.”
The Ecclesiastical District of Albay, in the Philippines, held a Photo Essay Competition and Exhibit on June 6, 2026, at the conference room of the Legazpi City Congregation, featuring photo documentation of the district’s activities throughout the previous year.
With the theme “No matter what happens, let us serve God so we will attain salvation,” mounted photo essays featured brethren’s unity with the Church Administration via active participation in various Church endeavors.
Brother Ruel R. Reyes, district supervising minister, graced the activity with his presence, accompanied by other ministers composing the district leadership.
The exhibit also gave the attendees the opportunity to reminisce the district’s milestones while appreciating the brethren’s unified efforts.
“I am grateful to have united here,” said champion Jessabell Advincula, lead chronicler from the Local Congregation of Palanog, whose entry best exemplified the theme. “I shared the activities in our local congregation throughout 2025 which were as inspiring as that of the other congregations in our district,” she said. “Above all, I thank our Almighty God for continually allowing me to fulfill my duty as a local chronicler—to preserve our congregation’s history and share it with the brethren.”
The activity further inspired the district’s chroniclers and brethren to continue keeping track of the Church’s history while remaining steadfast in fulfilling their God-given responsibilities.
“The Photo Essay Competition was a meaningful and memorable experience. It inspired me to become a better chronicler, value the history of the Church, and continue supporting and participating in activities that strengthen our faith and unity. Through these experiences, I am motivated to improve further in fulfilling my duties and responsibilities,” enthused Eddie Ojano, chronicler from the Local Congregation of Masarawag.
