On various dates in May 2026, ecclesiastical districts, including those in Metro Manila and Luzon, Philippines, namely, Central, Marikina, Palawan North, and Guimba, Nueva Ecija respectively held the activity titled “Chronicling the INC in 2025: A Photo Essay Competition.” With the theme “No matter what happens, let us serve God so we will attain salvation,” entries were divided into four categories: propagation, edification, Christian Family Organizations (CFO), and socio-civic.

Central

In Central District, right after the special gathering of INC Chroniclers held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of V. Luna on May 16, 2026, district supervising minister, Brother Diosdado Dades, and assistant supervising minister, Brother Ruel Cervantes, led the ribbon cutting of the INC Photo Essay Competition exhibit. Mounted at the said congregation’s compound, it featured entries from local congregations.

A week after, the said competition culminated via an awarding ceremony on May 23 at the Local Congregation of Commonwealth house of worship compound. The winners were the following congregations: Doña Faustina Housing (propagation), Templo Central (edification), Commonwealth (CFO), and Green Condo (socio-civic). Their winning entries will be the district’s entry for the regional level.

“It’s our first time to participate in this competition but we did our best to pass the requirements. Fortunately, our efforts paid off,” said Meliza Maluntag, lead chronicler of Doña Faustina Housing Congregation. “Thank you so much to the Church Administration for launching this kind of activity.”

“Through this activity, the brethren have all the more developed their skills in photography and writing,” attested Brother Lloyd Dural, district chronicler.

Marikina

The photo essay competition exhibit and awarding ceremony in the Ecclesiastical District of Marikina both transpired on May 23, 2026 at the Local Congregation of Parang house of worship compound. After an opening prayer led by Brother Kevin Garcia III, district secretary, participants and other attendees first watched a video presentation that explained the activity’s purpose. Afterwards, they went to the congregation’s conference room for the exhibit.

District supervising minister, Brother Cyrus Jose Dizon, Brother Garcia, and Brother Gener Necio, district chronicler, led the awarding ceremony. Declared champions in each catergory were the local congregations of Parang (propagation), Cupang (edification), FYM Avenue (CFO), and Modesta (socio-civic). Then, Brother Dizon led the closing prayer.

“Participating in this activity is a happy experience. I learned many things like how to convey message through photos. It is also a good opportunity for me to showcase my writing skills,” said Allysa Buenaventura, local chronicler of Parang Congregation.

Palawan North

The same as that in Marikina happened in the Ecclesiastical District of Palawan North, that is, the photo essay competition and its awarding ceremony consecutively held on May 23, in Taytay, Palawan.

The activity commenced through a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the Brother Azriel Pelaez, district supervising minister, and Brother Abel Canlas, district secretary. Then, Brother Jonathan Mark Quilang led the opening prayer.

The winners in each category were the local congregations of Roxas (propagation), Cawacayan (edification), Bebeladan (CFO), and Port Barton (socio-civic). Then, Brother Aljon Tubieron, minister of the gospel, led the closing prayer.

“This activity aims to promote the importance of safekeeping and preserving the history of the local congregations in the Church,” said Brother Quilang.

“This activity further inspires the brethren to become more zealous in their services to God by always participating in the various activities of the Church,” said Brother Pelaez.

Guimba, Nueva Ecija

On May 30, the Ecclesiastical District of Guimba, Nueva Ecija conducted the photo essay competition at the conference room of the Local Congregation of Pasong Intsik. During the activity, a historical documentation display was also held.

The activity began through an opening prayer led by Brother Dean Marco Miranda, district chronicler. Then, Brother Romeo Z. Saquilayan Jr, assistant district supervising minister, delivered the opening remarks. Afterwards, the entries of each local congregation were presented to the attendees.

During the announcement of winners led by Brother Miranda, the entry of Arlene Grace Dizon, chronicler of Pasong Intsik Congregation, received first place in all categories. After the awarding, Brother Emelito Aduan, district secretary, delivered the closing remarks and led the closing prayer.

“Thank you so much to the Church Administration for supporting this kind of activity wherein our zeal in performing our duties is further strengthened,” said Dizon.
