“It is important to faithfully obey God’s commandments as a member of the one true Church until the end to be saved,” added Texas District assistant supervising minister, Brother Teodorico P. Samson Jr., to what he said to the baptismal candidates that their “obligations do not end upon undergoing the process of being baptized to become full-fledged members of the Church.”
It was on May 23, 2026 when Brother Samson so told the new members in the said district, during the baptismal gathering that was held in the house of worship of the San Antonio Congregation.
“We conduct baptisms like this, for this is commanded of the Almighty God and of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the result of the brethren’s efforts in the intensified work of propagation led by the Church Administration,” said Brother Daven Domine, district Light of Salvation (LOS) overseer.
The baptism proper was administered by Brother Dean Franz Agunia, minister of the gospel, after the oath-taking of the baptismal candidates led by the LOS overseer.
“What I found unique in the Church Of Christ is that every teaching comes directly from the Bible. This is what convinced me to join the Church,” said Ricardo Gonzalez, one of the newly baptized, in an interview after the event. He added, “Now that I have been baptized, I will continue attending the worship services.”
Brother Domine said on behalf of the district, “Here in the District of Texas, we will remain united with our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, in the work of propagation, so that many more people will be called into the Church in this part of the world.”
At present, Brother Noel C. Caritativo is the supervising minister of the Texas District.
