The Ecclesiastical District of Cagayan East, in the Philippines, held back-to-back propagational activities before May 2026 ends. These were conducted in commemoration of the 140th birth anniversary of Brother Felix Y. Manalo, God’s Messenger in the last days, and the first anniversary of Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo as the Church’s Deputy Executive Minister.

These evangelistic activities were Sta. Teresita Congregation’s Pasugo: God’s Message magazine distribution in Barangay Simpatuyo and a baptism of the district at the Aparri Congregation house of worship, both held on May 29.

Pasugo Distribution

Led by Church officers, brethren in Sta. Teresita Congregation first gathered at their house of worship with their copies of Pasugo magazine. Then, they distributed copies of the magazine at Barangay Simpatuyo to share their faith with nonmembers.

“We will definitely return to this place and invite people here, especially the recipients of Pasugo magazines, to attend our evangelical missions and worship services,” shared Brother Ricardo Manuel Jr., resident ministerial worker. “We will be determined in doing so to be of help to the Church Administration in bringing more people to the fold,” he added.

Nearly 300 residents of the said barangay received Pasugo magazines.

“I am always filled with happiness whenever I get to share our beliefs through activities like this,” expressed Gonzala Matignas Jr., head deacon. In a separate interview, Ofelia Orio, a deaconess, promised, “I will never get tired of sharing God’s words upheld in the Church so that many more will learn the right way to be saved.”

Baptism

A total of 174 prospective members in the district received their baptism thereby becoming full-fledged members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) on the said day. Brother Troy S. Gatchalian, the district supervising minister, officiated at the sacred gathering.

“My family and I were devout Catholic members before,” shared newly baptized member Joel Silvio. He added, “I was convinced by a friend, who is a deacon, to attend an evangelical mission where I learned from the Bible that only the Church Of Christ will be saved on Judgment Day.”

Silvio further shared “As my eyes have been opened to the biblical truth upheld in the Church, I made sure to guide my family as well, paving the way for my wife and I to reach this day of our baptism. Our four children will also be baptized next month, God willing. We thank Him for this divine calling and promise to remain zealous in serving Him.” — With assistance from Winston Saytoc
