Brethren in the Ecclesiastical District of Northeast California continue to reap the fruits of their labors in the work of propagating the faith. On May 23, 2026, a baptismal gathering officiated at by the district supervising minister, Brother Pedro D. Dela Cruz Jr., was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Sacramento.
During his Bible-based sermon, he exhorted the candidates for baptism to cherish their calling no matter what happens. He also taught them to always prioritize their worship and services to the Almighty God and continue living a holy and righteous life if they want to receive His blessings.
After the sermon, Brother Joel Julag-Ay Jr., district Church officers overseer, led the baptismal candidates in taking their oath of membership. Then, the actual baptism was administered by Brother Michael Guerrero, overseeing minister of Sacramento Satellite Office of CEBSI.
Among those newly baptized is Patrick Quinn from Roseville Congregation. “The people that I met in the Church are very friendly. The biblical lessons taught to me are inspirational. I like the feeling that I’m now baptized,” he said.
Instrumental in his conversion to the Church is his wife, Florenda. “I’m really happy that my husband is now in the same religion with me. It really means a lot to me and also to my family. It’s a big blessing for both of us in our marriage. I’ve been praying that someday he will join the Church. I feel so blessed because God listened to my prayers. This moment has made my faith stronger than ever before,” she said.
After the baptism, a “Welcome My Brethren” activity was held at the wing side of Sacramento’s house of worship. During the activity, the newly baptized brethren were introduced to the Christian Family Organizations in the Church that they respectively belong to. — With reports from Nimrod Pantaleon
