To celebrate a decade of God’s unending blessings, the Local Congregation of Chiayi, in the Ecclesiastical District of Taiwan South, held a musical event on May 17, 2026, at Hitoto Restaurant along Zhongshan Road in Shuishang Township, Chiayi County, Taiwan.

Brother Sixto Gansit Jr., assistant district supervising minister, delivered the opening remarks after the opening prayer led by resident minister Brother Michael Alvarez.

Afterwards, members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) enjoyed chorale and solo performances by talented brethren featuring INC original music, including Isulong Ang Ikapagtatagumpay Ng Mga Gawain Sa Iglesia (Onwards to the Success of the Works in the Church), Magpapasakop Sa Namamahala Sa Iglesia (Submitting to the Church Administration), and Hanggang Sa Bayang Banal (Unto the Holy City).

Alona Chan, one of the pioneering members and an officer in the Light of Salvation (LOS), shared, “I’m overwhelmed with joy to be part of the celebration. Seeing the brethren perform and witnessing the audience’s reactions filled my heart with gratitude for the experience.”

As the brethren enjoyed their sumptuous dinner, they watched pre-recorded video greetings. An audio-visual presentation was also shown retracing the congregation’s inspiring journey from its humble beginnings to its fruitful present. Manuel Montano, head deacon, could not help but reminisce about how the Church in Chiayi began. He shared, “When it became a congregation, the brethren and officers sacrificed a lot just to fulfill their duties and attend worship services. But with God’s help, we were able to endure.”

Brother Mayonel D. Taal, district supervising minister, delivered the closing remarks. He emphasized that “the special occasion had become a significant part of the Chiayi Congregation’s history and would surely inspire future members to hold firmly to their divine election, remain steadfast in serving, and continue giving the highest glory to Almighty God.” The program concluded with a closing prayer led by district secretary, Brother Venerando Biag.

On behalf of the brethren, Brother Alvarez expressed, “It is God Who made this celebration possible through the guidance of the Church Administration. Above all, it is our Lord God Who helped the Local Congregation of Chiayi reach its 10th year.” — With reports from Maricar Javier and Jake Torio
