Two days after reaching its eight anniversary, the Ecclesiastical District of Batac City, Ilocos Norte, in the Philippines, continued commemorating it by, among others, holding a baptismal gathering at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Batac on April 25, 2026.

Brother Allan J. Ladera, district supervising minister, officiated the occasion. He emphasized to the baptismal candidates through a Bible-based sermon that receiving the baptism in the true Church is a prelude of more blessings from God. By remaining its active members until the very end, they will receive the foremost of these blessings: salvation come Judgment Day and eternal life in the Holy City.

“The very first time I, together with my husband and daughter, attended an evangelical mission, I felt a sense of peace,” newly-baptized Buklod member Lilibeth Constantino shared. “So, we decided to keep listening to the teachings of God. Fortunately, now we reached our baptism.”

“I’m overflowing with joy and gratitude to God for allowing the candidates, of whom I was instrumental in inviting back then, to be baptized and thereby included among those promised of salvation,” expressed Filmar Bagasol, deacon from the Paoay Local Congregation. “Moving forward, I promise to continually support the work of propagation and share my faith with others to likewise be pleasing to the Lord God.”

After listening to the preaching of God’s words, the candidates for baptism took their oath of membership before being immersed into the water.

“It’s truly a blessing that we in our family have been baptized together today, and my youngest sibling is currently in the process of joining the Iglesia Ni Cristo as well,” enthused Lilibeth’s daughter, Irish Nicole. Her father, Roy Sr., was not remiss in sharing his zeal: “I will lead my household in staying dedicated in our worship services to God within the Church Of Christ.”

“We’re grateful to the Lord God for granting us this victory, as many have been baptized across our district. We also express our gratitude to the Church Administration for the constant guidance,” explained Brother Victor Cabotaje, Batac City Congregation resident minister.

Meanwhile, a special gathering and oath-taking of new officers was held earlier, on April 12, which was also part of commemorating the district’s anniversary. — With assistance from Vily Ramon Ramos
