Seen to bolster edification efforts, more officers took their oath in the Local Congregation of QwaQwa, South Africa in the Ecclesiastical District of Southern Africa. The oath-taking of new officers was held during a worship service at their house of worship on April 1, 2026.

Brother Reu-el Alvarez, assistant district supervising minister, and fellow minister, Brother Jorgg Bernard Surio, officiated the occasion. Brother Surio preached the first part of the Bible-based lesson, while Brother Alvarez delivered the second part. As true members find joy in worship services amid this world full of hardships, the officiating ministers exhorted the new officers to be of help in reminding their brethren to not forsake attending worship services to remain steadfast in the faith.

“It’s of utmost importance that we encourage members to accept duties in the Church, as they will assist the Administration in showing love and care for our brethren,” explained Brother Alvarez who also administered the oath-taking of new officers. “Fulfilling Church duties also serves to nurture and strengthen the faith of the brethren.”

The new officers took their oath of duty, vowing to uphold their responsibilities with integrity and to serve the brethren with dedication. They were finance officers, deaconesses, multimedia officers, overseers, and secretariat officers, among others.

“It is timely to accept duties in the Church,” remarked newly-sworn group overseer, Mofokeng Martha Mpuse. “While the Church is growing rapidly throughout the world and as we approach the day of our salvation, Church officers have a great responsibility in caring for our brothers and sisters, strengthening them in their faith.” — With assistance from Zyrous Embang
