In a press statement released on November 13, 2025, the Iglesia Ni Cristo announced that it would hold a three-day rally in solidarity with the appeal of Filipino people for a lawful, just, and transparent investigation into the reported anomalous flood control projects in the Philippines.
Taking into consideration the speed and extent of media coverage that the rally generated, it did not need three days to achieve the goal of sending the message that we are calling for justice, accountability, transparency, and peace.
We thank our friends from the media, both local and international, who covered the event and spread the message of the rally.
We also express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to all our brethren who came to the “Rally for Transparency and a Better Democracy” at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila which started on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
On the second day of the rally, on Monday, November 17, more of our brethren coming from the provinces arrived at the rally venue.
This was in answer to the call of the Church Administration to lend our voices to the growing public demand for the government to decisively address the massive corruption that has affected even the country’s economy and international standing. They exercised their rights to free speech and peaceful assembly, which are granted to every citizen of the country and protected by the Constitution.
We thank all those who made sure that the rally was peaceful and orderly, including those from the Philippine National Police, the national government, and the Manila City government. We sincerely appreciate their assistance.
From the very start, we have stressed that we disagree with any actions that is against the Constitution.
We started peacefully and we ended peacefully. For this, we thank the Lord God and we return all glory to Him.
The INC “Rally for Transparency and a Better Democracy” saw massive turn-out on Day 1 and 2, passing the half-million mark. On November 17, at the conclusion of the second day of the protest action, the organizers announced that it has concluded the activity.
