Members of the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS), Christian Employees Association (CEA) led other Church officers from the Bataan Ecclesiastical District, Philippines, in attending a stress management seminar at the house of worship  of the Local Congregation of Dinalupihan on July 28, 2025.

Keynote speaker Dr. Janelle Meneses explained about the immediate and long-term ways to manage stress. A general medicine physician and CMDPS officer from the Local Congregation of Morong, she discussed about the nature of stress, what triggers it, and practical techniques, such as time management, and relaxation practices. She also demonstrated proper breathing techniques proven to calm the mind during stressful situations.

Dr. Meneses also emphasized building resilience, underscoring the importance of emotional intelligence, maintaining self-care routines, and leaning on support systems.

“What I received was a valuable information,” said deacon Rexon Baterzal from the Local Congregation of Orani. “I learned that managing time well helps reduce stress and keeps tasks from piling up.”

Right after the discussion was the seminar’s highlight: the study of God’s words led by district supervising minister Brother Roderick Chulvo. He delivered a biblical lecture highlighting that with God’s help, all things—stress included—can be overcome.

“Supported by the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, this seminar was part of the Church Administration’s ongoing efforts to care for and strengthen the brethren in the faith,” Brother Chulvo explained. “It reflects our Executive Minister’s genuine and constant concern to the brethren, especially as they face growing hardships and disasters. With this kind of activity, the brethren’s well-being is further nurtured.” — With reports from Annabele Penuliar of INC News Section
