2025 INC INTERNATIONAL VOICE COMPETITION
OFFICIAL GUIDELINES

  1. ELIGIBILITY: An active member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in good standing.
  2. MUSIC TYPE: The focus of this competition is the classical aria and art song. Thus, all performances will be limited to the classical/modern classical genre.
  3. AGE RESTRICTIONS: There will be only one category of 18 to 40 years of age. The entrant must be at least 18 years of age or above, and not turn 41 in the year 2025.
  4. PERFORMANCE FORMAT: Each singer must have a piano accompanist. For the final competition (live), a piano accompanist will be provided.
  5. VOICE CLASSIFICATIONS: All voice ranges are welcome. All performers will compete in a single category regardless of gender or voice range.
  6. VIDEO AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: Each participant must provide one video recording of an art song or aria from the approved list of vocal classical repertoire.
  7. SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES: Begins on August 1, 2025 and ends on September 1, 2025.

In addition:

  • Do not edit the video (no mixing, reverb, sound enhancement or distortion).
  • Video and audio format: 720p video, 192 kbps AAC audio in mp4.
  • The singer and the pianist must clearly appear throughout the recording. The camera should remain stationary.
  • Each singer must have a piano accompanist. No organ or pre-recorded accompaniment is permitted. A digital piano is acceptable only for the audition.  One may not perform his/her own accompaniment.
  1. CLASSICAL REPERTOIRE (FOR AUDITION ONLY): For the audition, please select one aria or art song from the approved list of vocal classical repertoire below.  For doctrinal considerations, only pieces from this list may be performed both for the audition and for the final competition. 
  2. REGARDING NON-COMPLIANT ENTRIES: Incomplete, non-compliant, and/or late submissions will not be considered.
  3. REGARDING THE FINAL COMPETITION: If selected for the final competition, the vocalist will perform selected INC original art songs or arias (not audition pieces).
