Part of the evangelistic efforts of members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in local congregations across Africa, America, Australia-Oceania, and Europe, they invited their loved ones and friends who are not yet members of the Church Of Christ to an evangelical mission which were held on January 19, 2025, when congregations across Asia united for the same endeavor, and a week after, January 26.
In the propagational activity, which was held in commemoration of the centennial birth anniversary of Brother Eraño G. Manalo (1925-2009), the Church’s Executive Minister from 1963 to 2009, the guests listened to the preaching of God’s words by Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo, Coordinator of the Christian Family Organizations (CFO), via videostreaming.
Africa
In the Ecclesiastical District of Southeastern Africa, hundreds of guests attended, including the brethren’s loved ones.
“I’ve been to many churches but this Church is the only one that teaches what’s in the Bible. When I was a Bible student, I had so many questions but all these were answered directly from the Bible,” said John Goma, newly-baptized member in the Local Congregation of Matero, Zambia. “I want to share with many people the truth I’ve found in this Church, starting with my family,” he added.
“This Church is very different from the churches that I’ve attended in the past. The teachings are straight from the Bible. No opinions or stories of other people are talked about. Just pure words of God from the Bible. That’s why I personally decided to learn more about the Church Of Christ,” said Elizabeth, John’s wife.
In the Ecclesiastical District of Southern Africa, among those invited by the Local Congregation of Petrusburg was Bianca Moeng. “I learned that the true Church is Christ’s body and that makes me want to learn more about the Church,” she said.
America
Brother Audric Dulay, CFO overseer of the Washington DC Ecclesiastical District, explained that the worldwide evangelical mission aimed “to introduce people to the Church Of Christ, help them to listen to the teachings of God, and tell about the overall works of the Church to help encourage people to join the Church.” He added that “with the mercy and help of God, we had visitors who listened to God’s teachings. We spoke with some of them and they expressed their interest in coming back to listen to another Bible study soon.”
“The fellowship and Bible studies here are nice, the people are very warm and kind, it’s a friendly environment … I like the fact that they have congregations all over,” observed Mina Jones, guest in the Local Congregation of Temple Hills, Maryland of the aforementioned district. “It’s orderly, and not just that, the members go according to God’s words … they go in parallel with the Bible.”
“I like that all the answers in the questions come from the Bible,” Eve Rhey, a guest in the Ecclesiastical District of Central Valley, California, said. “I would like to be a Bible student, if God willing.”
Australia-Oceania
In the Ecclesiastical District of Victoria, Australia, the use of livestreaming technology bridged the distance of various sites with guests benefiting from the message in the Bible.
“Through the dynamic leadership of our Executive Minister, modern technology is used in this kind of activity in the Church, for the benefit of sharing our faith,” said Brother Andrew Fisher, district CFO overseer. “The preaching of God words by Brother Angelo Manalo relayed a powerful message to our guests—the reason we invited them to listen to God’s words—for people to understand the truth regarding salvation.”
The guests in the Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand South shared their take away in the event. “I’m honored to be invited in this evangelical mission,” said guest Yu Zhe Feng. “When I first came here, I felt a little bit nervous but I want to be acquainted with the members here.”
“I’d like to learn more about the Church Of Christ and I’m willing to spend more time in listening to God’s words,” said Shiela Cabazares, a guest in the Local Congregation of Christchurch.
Europe
Brethren in the Ecclesiastical District of Central Europe strove to bring many guests at the places of worship of the Local Congregations of Amsterdam and Rotterdam in the Netherlands; Berlin, Bonn, Frankfurt City, Hamburg, and Heidelburg in Germany. In sharing their faith, the members “hope that it may become fruitful, meaning, God’s words will inspire nonmembers that one day soon they may also become members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo,” Brother Jason Dulalas, assistant district supervising minister, explained.
The guests in the Ecclesiastical District of Italy North understood the message of the lesson as well as commended the hospitality of the brethren. Lalyn Dasig, guest from the Monza Local Congregation, expressed, “I’m deeply grateful to the Iglesia Ni Cristo because I feel that I’ve grown closer to God through the teachings. Even though I’m new in listening to the doctrines they uphold, the kindness of the members has made me feel so welcome, as if I’m already part of their family.”
“The lesson is clear, and the minister read what’s written in the Bible, such as that true religion is important,” Maria Teresa Vicente, a guest in the Local Congregation of Milan West, remarked. — With reports from INC News Section
