On January 25, 2025, Church officers in the Ecclesiastical District of Central Valley, California attended their general assembly which was held in the house of worship of the Fresno Congregation. In the same gathering, new officers were inducted.

“Through gatherings like this, Church officers receive further biblical reminders on how they should carry out their respective tasks, as well as the spiritual inspiration they need to remain strong in their faith,” said Brother Isaias D. Antinew, district supervising minister.

After the opening prayer led by district secretary Brother Dino A. Bunag, Brother Antinew reminded the attendees through a Bible-based lecture that as a new year has started, Church members, especially the officers, should have a new resolve to all the more be dedicated to performing their Christian obligations.

The supervising minister cited examples of God’s early servants who devotedly fulfilled their part in the Lord’s work, such as the edification of God’s people by accepting duties inside the Church, having concern for the place of worship, among many others.

“I decided to accept a Church duty because this is a calling from God,” said Jagjit Singh, from the Local Congregation of Bakersfield, who took oath as a finance officer. “Being a Church officer gives you a direct role in helping the Church fulfill its missions in the fields of propagation and edification, and other spiritual works,” he added.

Brother Antinew concluded his lecture by reminding the attendees that all the work that they do in the Lord’s service will never be in vain. After the sermon, district Church officers overseer Brother Benjie R. Delos Reyes, led the oath-taking of 50 new Church officers, and the prayer after.

“As the Church continues to grow, it needs more Church officers who will be of help in tending to its growing needs as well. So we not only continue to train the existing Church officers, but also recruit for more,” Brother Antinew said.

Manuel Apoyan, newly sworn in head deacon of the Ridgecrest Congregation, conveyed, “I aspire to be of greater help to the Church Administration. That I will do by doing my part to lead the brethren in actively serving God and obedience to all His commands for as long as I live.”

With a series of activities on the way, the Ecclesiastical District of Central Valley would be commemorating its first anniversary of establishment this month of February.
