Toowoomba Group Worship Service (GWS), in the Queensland, Australia Ecclesiastical District, has become a full-fledged local congregation following the approval of the Church Administration.
The newly established congregation held its inaugural worship service on November 2, 2024 during which its members gave thanks to the Almighty Father for such a great blessing.
Brother Orlando Macayan, district supervising minister, officiated at the sacred gathering that took place at Pittsworth Town Hall situated at 85 Yandilla St., Pittsworth, QLD 4356.
In his Bible-based sermon, Brother Macayan exhorted the congregants to hold firmly to their faith, which is the true Christian faith, amid the spread of worldly teachings and ideologies that are contrary to God’s teachings in the Bible.
Initially, the brethren from Toowoomba used to travel 125.5 kilometers to attend worship services with the Brisbane Congregation. They were organized into a GWS 11 years ago with their own place of worship, which they will continue to use as a local congregation. It is located in a portion of a property owned by Leo Daulayan, a Society of Communicators and Networkers (SCAN) International officer, at 2 Aster St., Pittsworth, Queensland.
“It’s an incredible blessing to see Toowoomba grow. It shows the power of faith and perseverance,” remarked Chito Lorenzo, newly sworn in head deacon. Meanwhile, Rowena Daulayan, finance officer and choir member, said, “This milestone has strengthened my relationship with God and deepened my connection with the brethren.”
