The members of the Local Congregation of Port Moresby, PNG, Ecclesiastical District of Australia West shared the true Christian faith to residents of the Kennedy Estate and Boroko on October 12 to 14, 2024.

They did this first by distributing in the said neighborhoods copies of the Pasugo: God’s Message on the 12th and 13th. They followed this with the evangelical mission they held on the 14th. Resident minister, Brother Darlhey Pataweg, lead them in both activities.

“We distributed copies of Pasugo so [the people in this country] can learn more about the true Church. No matter what race, citizenship or color they have, they are welcome to search for the truth,” said Brother Pataweg in an interview after the Bible study.

More than 60 people received a Pasugo. One of them was a security guard in Boroko by the name of George Tau, who said, “Thank you for reaching out to me. I’m grateful for this free copy of your magazine. I believe that its content will enlighten me. After I finish reading this, I will even share it to my colleagues at work.”

“I really feel welcomed in this Church. Many of its members may not be of the same race as mine but I felt that in your Church, everyone is welcome,” Tau further said.

Meanwhile, the evangelical mission was held in Boroko, about five miles from the congregation’s house of worship. Brother Pataweg preached a Bible-based lesson emphasizing the inevitability of membership in the true Church Of Christ for one’s salvation on the nearing Judgment Day.

Regarding the brethren’s zeal in sharing their faith to others, Brother Pataweg said, “Being united with such activities truly pleases our Lord God for it His will that all people must know the truth about salvation. It is our duty to Him that we propagate His words. We will be active always in spreading the Good News of salvation.” — With reports from Quiza Quiñola of INC News Section
