On July 31, 2026, during a districtwide meeting of Church officers, 470 new ones took oath, in the Ecclesiastical District of Tandag City, Surigao del Sur, in the Philippines. The meeting was held at the house of worship of Tandag City Congregation. Brother Gem Jingco, district supervising minister, presided.

In his lecture, he reminded the officers that they ought to possess the qualities God seeks from them. He taught, based on the Bible, that officers whom God placed in the Church must never be neglectful in their duties. Instead, they should strive to do their best in being good examples of caring for the brethren, and in leading them to be active in taking part of the various endeavors of the Church.

In conclusion, Brother Jingco exhorted the attendees to remain unfazed by the trials and hindrances that they face as they fulfill their sacred duties. He then reminded them that in such situations, they can trust in God to grant them strength to carry on.

Before the closing prayer, Brother Nathaniel Hombrebueno, district Church officers overseer, led the oath-taking of the new officers.

“My heart is truly filled with joy for I believe that this is an answered prayer,” expressed Reynelyn Mocon, newly sworn choir member from Tandag City Congregation. “My husband and I yearned for this moment which we consider as a great blessing to our family.”

Jerald Japay, newly sworn Edification Committee officer from Libas-Gua Congregation, shared, “I firmly believe that the Church duty which I received is a blessing from God which I will strive to prioritize above anything else.”

“It is heartwarming to see that more brethren are heeding to the call of the Church Administration to accept Church duties. Their decision proves that they are united with the Church Administration in upholding the various works of the Church.
