2025 YEAR ENDER SERIES
As it continues doing the things that please the Almighty God, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) this year, 2025, held various socio-civic activities in many places all over the world. Moved by the noble aim to do good to others as God commands, the INC conducted humanitarian and such other undertakings that benefited communities, organizations, their fellowmen, and even the environment.
Two events organized by the INC stand out among the myriad Church activities meant to help communities and countrymen. In January, the INC led the “National Rally for Peace” and in November, the “Rally for Transparency and a Better Democracy.” Heeding the call of the Church Administration, millions of INC members in the Philippines flocked as one to designated venues to peacefully call the attention of the government and their fellowmen to seek and uphold peace and justice, among others—ideals grounded in the words of God written in the Bible.
The January 13 rally saw INC members gathered in multiple sites across the Philippines, the largest being the Quirino Grandstand and Rizal Park in Manila, with more than a million attendees calling for peace among government leaders and attend to the citizens’ welfare before political ambitions.
The planned three-day rally in November, also held at the Quirino Grandstand, saw the same zeal among INC members as they echoed the call of the Filipino people for the government to decisively address the issue of corruption that has affected the lives of millions. Through these events showed the INC members sharing the sentiments of their fellow Filipinos for the pursuit of accountability, justice, better democracy, among others, toward the upliftment of the people’s living condition.
These rallies, together with other endeavors, speak of the dedication of the INC in being a force for the good, all in accordance to what God wants from His chosen people.
During emergencies such as disasters and calamities, the Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) conducted rescue operations. And through the Lingap sa Mamamayan (Care for Humanity) program, with which the SCAN also closely collaborates, the Church, through its district offices, bring relief packages for the immediate needs of those the afflicted:
Though not afflicted by calamities, many people in many parts of the world struggle to make ends meet. To help alleviate their plight, the INC likewise holds Care for Humanity events for their benefit. In such and other humanitarian endeavors, members of the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedic Society volunteer their expertise for free medical and dental services:
The need for blood is constant, but only about 3% of age-eligible people donate blood yearly (redcrossblood.org). Doing their part to be of help to others, many brethren volunteer as donors whenever their local congregations or ecclesiastical district conduct blood donation drives:
Promoting cleanliness at respective communities, which significantly contribute to the overall health of residents, INC members enthusiastically participate in tree-planting and coastal clean-up activities:
Thankful for the selfless efforts they and their respective communities benefit from, INC members hold appreciation events for firefighters, teachers, police officers, and other public servants. They also pay tribute to senior citizens, uplifting their spirits.
With these socio-civic activities, the Iglesia Ni Cristo will continue to endeavor, in its own humble way, to extend help to those in need. The zeal of Church members in helping them is inspired by the biblical truth that such works honor the Lord God (Prov. 14:31 Today’s New International Version). The Lord Jesus Christ pointed out that to love one’s neighbor is one of God’s primary commandments, which places social concern within the realm of Christian responsibility (Matt. 19:19 New King James Version).
Led by the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, these noble efforts all the more highlight the current theme of the Church’s activities this 2025, that is, the prime objective of the INC, that is, “No matter what happens, let us serve God so we will attain salvation.” ❑
