“It is truly important that the number of officers continue to increase, especially nowadays, because more people are joining the Church,” explained Brother Virgilio A. Del Rosario Sr., Quezon City district supervising minister. “With their help, the brethren are constantly edified and led towards spiritual maturity, thus, making them all the more prepared for salvation.”
The said district held a special gathering of Church officers in the house of worship of Capitol Congregation on April 26, 2026, with Church Officers Overseer, Brother Romer D. Galang, officiating. After the homily, 1,216 additional Church officers were sworn in.
Citing from the Bible, Brother Galang reminded the Church officers that as they continue performing their duties, they should not allow that their sacrifices for the fulfillment of their duties end in vain. For that to happen, they were exhorted to do everything with love. Brother Galang also emphasized to the attendees that they must fulfill their duties out of the desire to edify the Church, and by doing so, they glorify God Who entrusted them such duties.
Among those who took oath was Junar Vichozo, Children’s Worship Service officer from Payatas Congregation, who said that he was “thankful for being entrusted with taking care of young members of the Church and guiding them towards becoming faithful Church members.”
“Despite having a busy work schedule, I make sure that I always prioritize my services to God. By doing so, I am also able to fulfill His expectation that I use my life and strength in helping the Church Administration in taking care of the brethren,” expressed Ariene Julian De Perio, secretary from Ecopark Congregation. — With reports from Mark Gil Angeles and Norielyn Goyala
