Established five years ago, the Local Congregation of Villa del Carbón in Mexico celebrated its anniversary this year by holding an evangelical mission and a baptism, just a week apart, both at the congregation’s house of worship.
On November 20, 2021, the congregation’s members enthusiastically invited their relatives, friends, and neighbors to the evangelical mission in which the resident minister, Brother Paul Martinez Jr., led the study of God’s words.
November 27 saw the baptism of new members, the fruit of the evangelistic efforts of the brethren in that past few months.
Areceli Medina, one of the newly baptized, shared the joy of having found the true Christian faith. “I started attending the [Bible] studies, and I liked it. Everything they [ministers] teach is in the Bible. That’s why I decided to join the Church and it changed my life,” she said.
Church members from Villa del Carbón thanked the Lord God for the triumphs He has blessed their congregation with over the years. They vowed to stay firm in their faith, continue in the intensive works of propagation, and that they will always submit to the Church Administration.
The Local Congregation of Villa del Carbón began as a Group Worship Service (GWS) on November 23, 2016. As with other local congregations and Group Worship Services (GWS) in Mexico, it is under the supervision of the Ecclesiastical District of Latin America. — With reports from INC News Section
