To help in caring for the increasing number of brethren in the Ecclesiastical District of Tokyo, Japan, new officers were added in the district. They took their oath during a special gathering of Church officers facilitated via videoconferencing on June 6, 2021.
Brother Manny Benedicto, district supervising minister, officiated at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Kawasaki, which served as the host site. In his Bible-based homily, he taught the congregants the importance of accepting duties in the Church.
“We are thankful to the Lord God for it is His will that despite the world’s current situation, the number of Church members, as well as the number of those who will oversee the brethren, also increases,” Brother Benedicto said. “They are the Church officers appointed by our Lord God to help make the brethren stronger and steadfast in the faith.”
In the gathering, the attendees were exhorted to remain united and active in serving God to receive His blessings.
The Church officers, old and new, were thankful for the continuous guidance of the Church Administration. — With reports from INC News Section
