The local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of South Korea conducted Care for Humanity events simultaneously on March 26, 2023, reaching out to certain communities within their territorial scope.
While all other congregations in the district likewise provided care packages to brethren in need, the local congregations of Iksan, Incheon, and Uijeongbu had as the primary recipients employees of a total of five business companies and residents of a dormitory situated near their respective places of worship.
Brother Roderick Yome, district supervising minister, and Brother Resty Bugarin, resident minister, led the brethren from Incheon in handing care packages to the workers of a company located at Geonji-ro 97beon-gil, 30 to 40 minutes away from their place of worship in Seo-gu, Incheon.
The brethren from Iksan, led by their resident minister, Brother Vincent Reyes, reached out to employees of a firm based at 86-7 Hakdong 2-gil, Baekgu-myeon, Gimje-si, Jeollabuk-do and to farm workers at Sin-geum-ri, Samnye-eup, Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do.
Being also in Jeollabuk-do, some people residing at a dorm along Ajungcheon 2gil Sanjeong-dong Deokjin-gu, Jeonju-si were included among the beneficiaries. These locations are estimated to be 27 to 30 kilometers away from the place of worship at 224-5 Changin-dong, Iksan.
Meanwhile, the Uijeongbu Congregation, under the supervision of Brother Francis Revesencio, the resident minister, brought aid to workers of two companies in Namyangju, the first one at Yangji-ri, Onam-eup and the other at Biryong-ro 524beon-gil, Hwado-eup. Namyangju and Uijeongbu are neighboring cities in Gyeonggi Province.
Besides care packages containing essential food items, free copies of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine were given to the beneficiaries. — With reports from INC News Section
